So, I was pleasantly surprised when this book struck a better balance. I’m beyond the truly ridiculous when it comes to middle grade, and the first book had points where I just wanted everyone to take it a little more seriously. No, the primary reason I wasn’t sure if I was going to continue was just that I found the first book in this series so juvenile. However, as I am not Hindi, I can’t really speak to how disrespectful the series is or isn’t.
